Seems like somebody wants to burn everything down all around the world.Most Chinese KK players, including myself, don't really care about the cancellation of the collaboration. After all, "If it's going to rain, it'll rain; if a mother wants to remarry, she'll remarry—let it be."
Things changed after the official account hid all videos from the past two and a half years. I started to worry about whether Snowbreak could survive this ordeal. The gameplay was rather dull, which was why many people quit, but many others enjoyed the character models and other services.
The Chinese gacha game community is very religious and complex. Snowbreak was attacked by feminists because of its sexy style. In addition, there are also gacha players who don't like the use of sex appeal.
After April 2024, the Snowbreak community collaborated with a group called "Don't Play Games with Male Characters in Gacha"（ml）. This group had been disgusted by all sorts of bad games while playing gacha, so their behavior was rather extreme.
"Don't Play Games with Male Characters in Gacha" – this principle initially only applies to myself: avoid games that aren't suitable for me, protect my wallet, and prioritize enjoyment.
However, things gradually went to extremes. Initially, they demanded that the writers be credited so that if the second game's plot was criticized, there would be a clear writer to vent against. Later, they demanded that voice actors remain anonymous because some Chinese gacha games tie voice actors to characters, like costumed characters, and some would even attack players for not being worthy of playing the game or for refusing to voice pornographic audio.Then, they banned official game cosplay because they believed some cosplayers were sex workers or prostitutes. They even attacked female gamers on X who cosplayed for their own amusement.
More importantly, they are hostile to most other gacha game communities, including Azur Lane, Girls' Frontline, mihoyo, Arknights, wuwa, ba, NIKKE, and others. They use their own rules to attack other players; if someone else's game doesn't conform to their rules, they are considered foolish, losing friends and gaining many enemies.
At the same time, their criticism of snowbreak has become increasingly severe.In October 2025, Snowbreak's international release promotional materials listed the Japanese voice actors, and the official account also interacted with some cosplayers on YouTube. As a result, Snowbreak was subjected to fierce attacks from these individuals.
Fans of "Don't Play Games with Male Characters in Gacha" felt betrayed, and some even believed that Snowbreak had become a feminist lackey, doing everything it could to expand its fanbase.
Snowbreak believes that such a community is unhealthy, unprofitable, unsustainable, and doesn't provide a relaxed experience for players.
