I agree $20 for everything is cheap. The problem is you are selling PIXELS AND PNGs. There is a price cap to just how much people are ready to pay for that. "Piracy to customer" ratio is about 1 to 2%, so out of those 1000 downloads you likely 'lost' around 20 customers at a MAXIMUM, which means around $400. And that's a big "IF".

These people think that a leakers are willing to give them money, like "they are actually customers but somehow got my content from a leak". With this weird thing these big corpos has, they think about potential income, lost revenue, a lost customer; "I do $20 scenes, if 100 people acquire it from a leak then is $2000 ($20 * 100 leakers) lost" no dude. There's no lost in the first place, because that "customer" is on a leaker site not on your patreon.
I'm not going to pay for a Paramore album to listen to it; I've never done that, I can just listen them on youtube, bandcamp, soundcloud and many more sites.
Imagine if Paramore had dedicated themselves to sending DMCA takedown notices to everyone and issuing strikes against all the channels that played their music. Hey Sandkoi if you are reading this, just remember than everyone who already did that path just quit because they had their revenue destroyed, creators that used to be 100x billion times better than you. You are greedy asf playingaround the idea of "$20000 I've missed out on", and the more you try pursuit that logic, the more burnout you will end up, I'm not saying this to offend you, that's one of the problems all of you have. I wouldn't want to see you struggle, but you're the ones who are getting yourselves into this mess, and is good to chase money, but for the love of Jesus stop playing Russian roulette with that, is literally a gamba you will always lose.
Your content will always be leaked whether you like it or not, and since your logic is to get along with no one but your own PayPal account, you will never understand how to stop the leaks or how to make more money. Focus on your content, not on that weird thing.

Posts with no tags but コイカツ (and its variants): poor metrics.
Posts with any of the 4 tags mentioned with paid content: mediocre metrics.

I see more interactions on posts with one of those tags and free content than in the other two scenarios. There are special cases when the Ugoira tag is used and from a well-known creator (an example Tachumi; in the most recent Rias post, got 669 bookmarks, 1,117 likes, and 9,125 views). Can't give examples for Sandkoi because acc ban, maybe sharing patreon links?
It's an extension for tagging users, I'm near to do spreadsheets and do some sampling, but I'm only doing this thing for the meme. Maybe I'll do it someday so I don't have to pull things out of my ass asking you to believe me, so trust me bro so to speak, but my point is, the way he's doing paid content is shooting himself in the foot. Even on his Patreon, the content for paying users only gets between 0 and 3 total interactions (likes, comments), and the public posts get between 0 and 20 total interactions. People want to see, like on Tachumi, paid SD content, and his content explodes in visibility, but of course, our other friend barely has 1k followers (on Twitter) but gets interactions as if he had 300. Damn, I had those numbers years ago when I only had like 62 followers.
No hate on that fella, don't go savage on him, just ignore and move on.

I just digged a little on Murara and he's a great example of what we've been saying
He has 19 subs on Patreon, been doing the "DMing you the card" thing since 2020, I guess some people buy his card pack for 40-50 bucks once in a while and call it a day
He could have way more just not being schizophrenic

People started cancelling when it increased.

I hate this kind of talk. This person forgot that most people who pirate aren't going to pay for the product, so no, they didn't lose $20,000. They wouldn't have received that much with or without piracy. Piracy probably even made they earn more because it means visibility and I've seen people here downloading some scenes and saying,"I liked it, I'm going to support the creator." (ভ⤙ ভ ")

My bad if it read as if I'm changing things and making it harder to get??? Because I'm not. Like, if I was trying to hardcore crack down on pirating I wouldn't be distributing the way I am. I'm just asking people to reconsider because I'm trying to make ends meet. I'm doing better than I thought I would be doing in less than half a year and just want to keep that momentum going.

I'd agree that people VERY SPECIFICALLY looking for scenes I don't have much in the way of free content towards yet, but most people who find my stuff are those looking for porn in general. So that's what I've been prioritizing, the free versions of videos on social media being full-length. That and the alts too, holy crap do I spend a good amount of time actually making the free versions of character alts that I do. I don't have to do that, but I want people to enjoy what I'm doing and that's my first and biggest priority.
Maybe I should add all the social media posts into the free folder and advertise it more, but I do have them out there. Only reason I haven't been doing more freebies was me needing to actually get somewhere first which has been starting to happen the past couple months. Like realize I basically started at the start of September and had zero expectations for people to actually look my way.
So idk, I thought my stuff was plenty easy to get or see previews of 🤷

I discovered you because of this thread, interacted with both parties positively, both on this site and on twitter (because of this site I began to see you on twitter) and am grateful for all the outcomes of both conversations. I will admit, piracy does hurt the creator, yeah I can agree with that, but it also has a (strangely) positive effect because it helps introduce people to them who may also pay. I'm not financially available in that department yet, but I'm sure others are and have done so. I'm grateful to this community because they introduced me to you, and have enjoyed the said content because of it. Atleast you have the balls to not only give out free scenes (which are of decent quality I may add), but interact with the very community which you seem to be against, compared to a large majority out there who refuse to speak in here, and charge crazy prices for their scenes. I can also see the point, that because of sites like this, some of my favorite creators have stopped sharing scenes in general, like sugardust and it pisses me off greatly because I really did love his scenes, and I every now and again check to see if they have resumed their scene distribution, and same goes with Eros, as they have started to delay scenes due to some malicious intent, not clear on the specifics of that case but if they stop releasing scenes I'm going to be very displeased.
Do I wish to ask questions about scenes, features of videos/scenes missing from the shared versions, and possible future work? Sure, but not here, and based on the time of this post, not for a while lest I reveal myself outside.

Maybe I misspoke in my Patreon post and gave a bad impression, so I want to make it as clear as possible to everyone, I said what I said not just from my own feelings, but friends who know what I'm doing giving their own thoughts on the matter, and the pressure from who I live with giving me a tough time about "why don't you have a regular dead end 8-5 job???" I made that post because this at the end of the day is my "job" and it can be quite stressful! I tried making it clear I understand how and why piracy happens the way it does and that I'm not mad at it, but I get the impression it didn't come across that way in this thread.

I just, y'know, have to worry about having a roof over my head! That's the unfortunate reality. I care much more about the hobby of this and, wow, have I been really happy to get way more DMs and comments than I would've expected from people telling me thank you and/or that they really enjoy my stuff. That makes me really happy to see. I wish I could just spend the same amount of time that I am now on my animations and release everything for free and not give a damn at all about the money, but uh, then I'd just be broke.
And yes, like I even screencapped myself saying, I can see the good of the extra exposure that I got. It's really hard to actually gauge *how* good though. The things that are much easier to see is where I get more members or not. At the very least on FANBOX, free releases have been flatlines, paid release have gotten more members. Not followers however! Followers seem to go up a bit more with the free releases. I absolutely recognize that! I guess it's your own decision what one of those actually matter more though.
I just hope everyone could/is willing to understand, seeing stuff you make that you're trying to make a living with get pirated can be a real big "uh oh" moment. At least it can sure *feel* that way. I don't have a team of people I'm working with, I don't have some big career or opportunities that I can fall back on, I'm just some random schmuck crossing their fingers. I'm basically doing all of this blindly and hoping it works.
