Is there a general tier list of koikatsu card creators? I was going to buy Suya's archive but people are saying the quality is garbage? Is there anyone actually worth paying for? Hard to know until i have the cards ...

Anyways here is tnk.vera's helpful list to give you some background knowledge on a good portion of the current popular creators. Personally I go for creators that aren't charging an arm and leg for their stuff while also providing good quality. Mainly cause I'm broke lol and some creators overprice their cards. Hope the list helps!

No problem and unsure about Suya tbh haven't played around with their cards all that much. Seems like they don't have a crazy good reputation on here though after a quick skim on the search results. Maybe someone else who has more experience with their cards will chime in later.

So I did my first suyasuya haul today thanks to the absolute goats in this forum.
Honestly I was kind of excited to see their cards, I had assumed they may be high quality given the price.
And wow was I wrong, maybe I'm missing something in my game but does this creator ignore the body of the card entirely and just port the mediocre head mods?

Koikatsu is a plus for him, not a must, there's a few koi cards that closely resemble his MMD models, but most of his ports are borderline garbage with the exception of a bunch of headmods that weren't even made by him. His cards are only good if you're experienced with the charamaker, so you can fix his mess, but if you're not, it's a waste of time and resources.

Don't waste your money. Other's are much better. Also avoid Ldki.

There isn't really anybody who solely makes Vtuber cards of high quality consistently and haven't had a majority of cards leak, unless you just want to support creators. (I support Sankuku because they make some good indie cards)
Hatoko's are mostly great, but at $30-$40 per card, its not worth it, considering all but 1 card has leaked.
The few cards Xion has made are much better now.
Ldki has alot of cards but the way he distributes is annoying and all his models have the worst hair I've seen on any models.
SFBs cards are really good, even though I have an issue that the face has really dark shadows sometimes, but there isn't alot.
蓬莱伝説 also makes great cards just some need a little fixing I've noticed, also not many cards.

If you want Vtuber cards you will just need to go everywhere. Use Bepis and search Pixiv with "キャラ配布(コイカツ) バーチャルYouTuber" or "キャラ配布(コイカツ) VTuber"

Unless you have a specific vtuber in mind, I would check some of the collections around here. Wataaamage (similar to xion) does a lot of vtubers, https://gofile.io/d/lr2Wra and there is already an almost complete collection for xion ↓. Wataaamage has not been updated for a bit, so there are more missing cards there.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Many casual players like me are only familiar with creating characters in the base game, then entering Studio, using existing scene data, and swapping character cards. We hardly use most of Studio's features (mainly because we don't know how to use them).

At the same time, many of the interesting item mods created by the community seem to work only in Studio and cannot be used in the base game itself. Is there any guide on how to make those mods usable in the base game, or how to convert/adapt them so they can be used outside of Studio?
